While remaining indoors is a good way to protect yourself and others from this epidemic, and is an important measure to help #flattenthecurve of daily cases that put pressure on our health care system, it could lead to a lesser evil: boredom and stir craziness from staying at home for TOO LONG.
What's there to do while stuck indoors? We've compiled a list of 8 suggestions to help make your time quarantined as interesting – and perhaps even as productive – as possible.
Resume or Start a hobby
Getting extra time at home is probably a big bonus for all of us. Utilise this time to start a hobby or picking up on old interests such as playing a guitar, learning a new dance move, or developing your drawing or cooking skills! Having an extra hobby is always a plus point to have and it is never late to start one. It helps to keep your mind off things a little, when situations are getting stressful.
Pay attention to your space
There here have been corners and things you have not been able to clean for so long because of your busy schedule. But now, pay attention to them! Same goes if you've been inspired by too many Pinterest boards for far too long... take this time to make your own DIYs to brighten up the house! There’s no better time to do this than right now. These tasks will extend the life of pretty much everything in your home, and make it a nicer place to be in.
Work on your health
For most of the people who blame their busy schedule to be the reason why they are not being able to exercise, this is the best time to pay attention to their health. And for those regular gym-goers, make space to build your very own home gym! Chalk out a workout routine for yourself and stick to it. There are several exercises that can be done at the comfort of your home which are both effective and fun to do. This also means you can try cooking new recipes, and diet plans that you've been putting off!

Read a book/watch a movie you've always wanted to
There’s probably no better time than this to go through the books in your home, find one or two that you’ve been meaning to read, and finally read them. Similarly, this is a great time to watch some movies or binge-watch a series that you’ve been putting off because you’ve been so busy lately. Netflix has just introduced the new Netflix Party when you can watch any shows with your friends online, it synchronises video playback and adds group chat to your favourite Netflix shows. Host long / short distance movie nights with your friends and loved ones, a little digital social interaction will always make things easier and better!

Learn a new skill or whip up a new recipe!
With an endless resource for online learning (e-books, online forums and even via YouTube), you can start digging deep into a new skill and really mastering it with all this free time! Take time to reflect
In tough times, it's always important to have a little moment of self reflection, so we can acknowledge our accomplishments, and improvements to make things better. What have you accomplished in the last year? What goals are you setting for yourself in the year? What can I do to motivate myself to accomplish my goals this year? What have I done to be kind to myself this year? These are just some of the questions we constantly ask ourselves in our planner.
Sleep
Get lots of it. Getting enough sleep helps keep your mind and body healthy, and let's be honest - with our current work/school schedule, it's hard to get enough sleep these days. Take this opportunity to catch up & clock in those 8 precious hours of sleep!
